This is my second year to team teach. I have learned a lot from last year. One of my priorities is to ensure that every student that enters my classroom feels valued. I was greatly concerned as I looked at the desks in my room, (with one compartment) and visualized two students sharing it (one in my home room and then my team's students). I had made pockets for each chair (out of my own funding), but over the past 2 years of use, they are quite worn out. I brought them home over the summer and washed and ironed them, but they are faded and looking second hand. These chair pockets will give me the opportunity to show my non-homeroom students that they are valued in my classroom, by providing them with a special place for them to store their supplies. They will use these pockets to store their folders and books in my classroom. My homeroom uses the desks, in order to keep individual supplies separate. It is my desire to allow all students their ownership in my room. I am an ATPE member!
