Many items I need, I can't get within the area, I teach. Asking the parents to provide items is just not feasible, and a teachers income does not provide the materials for each one of my student. It is because my students love to read, that I am implementing a program called the Daily 5 that will be geared toward reading. With this implementation toward reading they will need a place to store their individual at-level, reading books and some materials for journal writing, which requires a book bin for each child. The students read independently in areas of the class and the comfortable mats would allow them a quiet place to have relaxed reading with a partner or independently. While they are working on reading and writing, I am working with students and the use of a lg. whiteboard easel would help in this area. This would benefit my class so that they can become successful readers.
