As a student teacher, I was very fortunate to see iPads used in my cooperating teachers classroom by our students. They helped our students to become proficient in their use as well as sharpen their literacy skills when they were used as listening and phonics centers. iPads as a learning resource made learning fun for our students and provided them practice of many wonderful skills. They were proficient at utilizing technology as a learning tool by the end of the year and as a first year teacher I would love to see this happen for my own students this year.
