One goal I have for my students is to develop the enjoyment of reading. Due to budget restraints, we have been unable to update our novels. Seeing students enjoy reading and wanting to read more novels is great, but the lack of modern titles & subject matter have students lack the interest of reading. These new titles have characters and events that are relatable for current students. The books are high interest for all students, and would be a great way to update the curriculum. Students will also be able to identify and relate to the choices made by various characters.
