Personalized Learning classrooms allow students voice and choice in how they choose to demonstrate that they have mastered standards. Students are allowed to work throughout the classroom - however and wherever they are comfortable to complete their assignments. The teacher works with small groups to help students learn new concepts/standards as well as master grade level benchmarks. Flexible seating helps students get their wiggles out so they can focus along with find comfortable places in the room so they can be successful. While some students enjoy a traditional desk and chair; many others prefer a bean bag cushion or yoga ball. Some enjoy laying on the floor or working on a couch with a clipboard. Having choices allows the students to chose what and where what works best for them.
