I am a digital immigrant. (Translation-someone old who learned how to use technology, or at least looks like she knows what she is doing.) My students are digital natives. Webster's definition is someone who has grown up using technology. My definition is my third grade students, who don't know of a world without iPads, Facetime, and the online dictionary. I look forward to building a bridge between my students, education, and technology. We will use the iPads to record project-based learning, as well as create personalized digital portfolios. Having iPad accessibility for each child will inspire creativity and allow for real-time communication with parents.
