I work in an inner city school where resources are very tight and students socioeconomic levels vary greatly. My students LOVE doing hands-on lab work and learning their inquiry skills. They also love using technology. Unfortunately, much of our equipment is outdated and inaccurate. If I can not provide these experiences and resources for them, they will never have the opportunity to experience them. For many of my students, the only place they have the opportunity to use resources and technology is at school. Many have difficulty obtaining the basic supplies needed for school - pencils, notebooks and binders, so access to technology and updated resources is out of the question. I will never stop trying to obtain the best possible resources, or stop trying to make the most inviting and exciting classroom for their learning.
