I teach students with special needs. Some of my students have medical needs that make them more susceptible to illnesses. We need to make our classroom a safe learning environment during COVID-19 so the students can have safety precautions in place to allow them to continue learning in a school environment. These safety shields will allow us to have our own designated space but still feel like part of the group. These shields can be sanitized daily and this will help us practice social distancing. We do a lot of our work in groups and these will help us continue to be able to work together instead of having to isolate.
