The access to new technology, such as iPads will foster a positive environment for engaging students and acquiring knowledge across all subjects. We hope to incorporate iPads in Literacy and Math centers to increase fluency and math proficiency. Some of my students are below grade level and iPads will be an effective tool to improve their scores and increase their motivation to learn. Not only will iPads help my students with academics, they will learn Internet literacy, how to take care of expensive products, and how to share school resources. This donation will make a huge difference in our classroom. We are constantly searching for culturally relevant tools to keep students engaged. We can use the iPads to open students' minds to many topics, issues, and activities. In addition, we would hope that this project will create an excitement about learning, which will translate to a higher attendance rate and increased test scores. We can picture the smiles on our students' faces as they interact with these new iPads.
