I am requesting books for a classroom library, alternative seating, and some supplies for my students. I am a beginning teacher and would love to provide my students the opportunity to have books at their fingertips. Alternative seating like stools and cuddle chairs will allow my students to learn in a fun way. School supplies are a shortage at our school; by providing folders for my students I will be able to differentiate centers and homework. Having a classroom they love to come to to escape from the real world is a weight off my chest. I try to do my best to make their experience as fun and memorable as possible and when they're in my classroom; they feel like they're in a different world. Allowing students the freedom to choose from a variety of books without having to leave the classroom is a joy for them. And having alternative seating is something new that I know would give them another reason to love reading and be excited about learning. Reading allows them to escape the real world and encourages them to live in that story for however long. This project would make a difference in my students' lives and impact them forever.
