These iPads will integrate technology in the classroom through literacy and mathematics. The kids will be able to listen to fiction and nonfiction texts in the classroom to aid in reading expression, fluency and comprehension. It will help help them develop a love of reading. For mathematics I plan to use an app where students can demonstrate their thinking in real time. Instead of just giving one written answer on a sheet of paper, it will allow students to "show" their process of how they arrived at the final answer. This will empower other students to see how one student the method for solving a problem. While the procedural skills are important I hope kids see possibilities there are when there is an emphasis on understanding.
