Whether we are learning in person, face to face at school, or distance and remote learning, my students deserve the safest option possible! I have always been a hands-on project teacher, especially while working with young special needs children, grades K-2 in rural Mississippi. Protective sneeze guards can be used in small group learning, while individual pocket organizers will keep students from sharing their pencils and other materials. Lap desks can be used with Chromebooks and are ultra portable in case we need to move outdoors for a safe classroom experience. My students will have a safer experience in class with personalized and individual materials, while also having the capability to use these materials in distance learning. While our tiny school is small in size, we are big in dreams and the school is the driving force and backbone of our small community. Many of my students come from low-income families and do not have the resources they need for distance and remote learning, should our school shut down again in this new school year. Providing the best learning experience possible, while also complying with CDC guidelines for school reopening, will provide the safest learning option for my precious kiddos. They deserve the very best.
