The students I service need to be exposed to smaller text chunks to offset larger novels in each required unit. The use of current educational magazine will be a starting point for more advanced research for current topics. By having the technology available, students will be able to access search engines quickly and become familiar with the proper use of the internet. The repetition of receiving magazines monthly will help students become more comfortable with the format of Non-Fiction structures. According to our recent data, the middle school students score poorly in this set of standards highly rated with the Common Core.
