Music is a hands on learning experience. Students often end up stuck in one spot for too long during the course of the day and need physical activity in order to process information gained throughout the day. Having a Note Worthy Rug will enhance music activities through structured movement. The rug will also provide us with a fun and creative reference to basic music terminology and can be used an interactive resource to play games and review previous skill sets. It also creates a welcoming environment for students to discuss content and feel included. Too often are students asked to sit in a circle but one or two are left out. With a structured seating area all students are included allowing the creation of mutual respect and equal opportunity.
