My students are avid readers, but working in a low income school district makes it challenging to provide essential and interesting books to my students. The books I have chosen are not only high interest but will help my students practice the necessary reading skills they need to succeed on those dreadful mandatory assessments. "Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him." –Maya Angelou Not only are these books helpful in preparing for tests, but they are high interest and will motivate my students to want to read more and become lifelong, avid readers.
