Students will increase their English comprehension by being able to take home a "You Wouldn't Want to Be" book for a week. At the end of the week, the students will demonstrate their understanding of the book through a creative project. Our students love history and are eager to gain more English fluency through reading. They will experience the history content we are covering in class through a different medium. The book completion project will afford students the opportunity to demonstrate their comprehension in ways that boost creativity and confidence. My students have limited access to non-fiction books at the moment, and this project would help alleviate that issue.
