My students often fall behind in their reading skills. For various reasons, be it lack of home materials, lack of focus and fluency, inability to maintain stamina, etc., many are not on grade level. I would like to provide an engaging, yet comfortable environment in which they can deeply and independently read. Reading is essential to all learning and without practice any skill will diminish. With these pillows, I can encourage my students to grab their reading material, get comfortable and limit their interruptions. Independent reading is an integral part of our daily schedule and although we read a variety of genres throughout each subject and for various reasons, independent reading should be material of their choosing and for practice and pleasure.
