Born and raised in Rock Hill, S.C., I attended the College of Charleston and received my B.A. in Elementary Education in 2000. I also received my National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education in 2009. I am from a long line of teachers so choosing my career path was easy for me. My great grandmother, grandmother, mom, two sisters, aunts and a cousin are/were elementary school teachers! One of my sisters teaches third grade right beside me! Often we say teaching is "in our blood", and I couldn't imagine being in any other profession. I am looking forward to another great school year!
