My students will use Chromebooks to access many educational websites and programs during reading and math small groups. I also want my students to learn how to use Google Docs and Google Slides to help them become more familiar with common computer programs. Students will use Google Docs and Google Slides to collaborate on multiple projects. Students will also be able to provide direct feedback to peers through Google. Students will get to use Google Classroom to complete a wide variety of activities in all subjects to keep them engaged in learning. These Chromebooks will give my students more opportunities to use Pear Deck, a Google program they have used and absolutely love! My students love using technology in the classroom! However, the technology our school currently has is very unreliable and makes it very difficult to plan fun, engaging lessons with technology. These Chromebooks will allow us to have more reliable technology which will provide us with more opportunities to use technology in the classroom. Using technology is a skill that is needed for everyday life now. Introducing my students to this technology at a young age will help them be more prepared and knowledgeable in the future.
