"Is it math time yet?" Most students dread math. Mine? Not so much! I teach students to LOVE and embrace it and they look forward to math time each and every day! When I fly on an airplane, I sure hope that the pilot didn't learn how to fly through worksheets, so why would I teach my children math through worksheets? Kindergarten or Engineering, BOTH should be hands on! Whether we are playing a whole group math game with the 120 chart or using the two sided counters to decompose the number 5, students will be engaged constantly. With these awesome manipulatives, students are counting, adding, sorting, and just plain having fun while they are learning. The way it should be!
