My students' sensory needs are as diverse as they are. I have some students who like to build things. I have some students who like to relax on a comfy pillow, when they are overwhelmed. I have some students who prefer to play in sand or goop. The items I am requesting will really help address some of those needs, and decrease negative behaviors. Many of my students need frequent sensory breaks. Right now, I only have a few sensory items. While the items I have are good, they are insufficient to address each student. With these needs met much more leaning will take place. Having learn and store chart stand, five comfy pillows, a set of sight and sound tubes, an alphabet feel and find sensory tub, and a sensory ball set will meet these needs and help decrease negative behaviors.
