These kits and building materials will help my students master the understanding of engineering design, as well as reinforcing their understanding of wind power as an energy source. Analyzing man's use of resources and the impact on our Earth is a very important standard for students to grasp, so giving them the opportunity to investigate this on their own is valuable. By giving them the opportunity to construct these machines independently, they are involved in the design, as well as the application, ensuring that they are invested in their learning. As Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."
