My students will use this technology daily to deepen their understanding, discover their world, and engage them in our inquiry based classroom. These Kindle Fires will be used in Math and Science in order to grow their understanding of STEM by way of research, collaboration, and creativity. Having these tablets in our classroom will allow my students to create projects that interest them and prepare them for a future in which technology is at the forefront. These Kindle Fires will also be used for differentiated independent and small group learning in Math and Reading. Students will be able to access several online learning sites, as well as have access to a variety of books to read. My project will make a difference because these students are digital natives. Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
