In my classroom, students learn by doing. One of the basic tenets of science investigation is understanding how to make accurate measurements. My students are already equipped with graduate cylinders but they are need of tools to measure the mass of substances. The pocket scales will be used to measure the mass of substances during lab investigations. The metric weight set will be used to calibrate the pocket scales that were requested. The erlenmeyer flask and beakers will be used to measure the volume of substances. These tools will used throughout the school year to help students build their measuring skills.
