I teach at a school that has many learning disabled and emotionally disturbed kiddos ranging from 7th to 12th grade. We are an over 90% free and reduced lunch school with a high rate of student homelessness.Many of my students come to school without socks,proper shoes, coats, hungry, in-between foster homes or shelters,hygiene items and without having their basic needs met. Throughout these struggles it astounds me that these kids still make it to school, and put forth their best effort.
