Our Principal approached me this school year and let me know that she had made the decision to add a S.T.E.M. Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) to our school and I was thrilled!! Students who are able to learn hands-on have a much greater chance of retaining and understanding what they are learning! Our students will be creating, brainstorming, experimenting, learning social and teamwork skills and just overall having FUN doing it! What better way to build confidence and believe in themselves than to actually do it themselves?! There are so many things that we need, many of which are recycled goods. However, items like aquariums, tools, soil, Legos, robotics, and much more are just not in our current budget. With your help, all of our students (K-5th grade) will have a Lab full of materials to expand their knowledge and put their scientific brains to work!
