Are you most comfortable sitting behind a desk in a chair? No? Well, our students aren't either. Chances are if they aren't comfortable, they probably aren't fully engaged either. 21st century students learn differently. By transforming my classroom into a 21st century learning environment, my students will have the flexibility to choose a seat that is comfortable and inviting to them. Flexible seating allows them to discover how they learn best and helps them focus and engage with the activities for optimal learning and growth. Being able to use colorful materials, such as interactive velcro books, folder games, flashcards, and communication books also keep my students engaged in our lessons.
