The superheroes in my special education classroom would love to have some Kindle Fires in order to use in a learning center. They could play educational games, reinforcing what they are currently learning in class. The donations received in this project would enhance learning for my kids who need the extra time to learn new concepts. My students have learning disabilities and would greatly benefit from the added "play" time to learn the same concept in new and different ways. They would also benefit from the whiteboards I have requested. Because they struggle with writing, for each of them to have a whiteboard at their desks would greatly help. They could write down their ideas, and edit them without using a great deal of paper.
