Our school system has implemented iReady reading and math remediation and assessments. Each student needs a pair of headphones to work through each interactive lesson. The data from iReady is used to create leveled small group activities for remediation and acceleration. The other materials will allow students to cut paste given strategies into their notebooks for future references while completing homework or studying for exams. Though the materials are basic and are requested on the student supply list at the beginning of school, many student's parents are unable to purchase the necessary materials. Many families have several students to purchase materials for and often times the older siblings go lacking. IReady provides many students who are more than one grade level behind the opportunity for success by showing growth at each assessment point designated by the county school system.
