Being able to provide manipulative to each one of my students will make a great difference while teaching through distance learning until we are able to come back to our classroom. First graders still need to use concrete objects to make easier the connection with concepts like letters to form words, and counters to grasp the concept of adding and subtracting. While I teach my lesson from my computer, my students can follow my instructions while manipulating the letters on their cookie sheets making words and be able to read, or during Math, use the counters and cubes to count, add or subtract. I want to provide them as well with stylus to facilitate their drawing and writing skills on their tablets. Most of my students families will not be able to provide with this type of learning tools, and I want to get sure that they will have at home what they need to succeed in their learning.
