I have been a learner and a teacher all of my life which has contributed to the development of my educational philosophy. This philosophy has been built upon my life experiences as a student, world citizen, and teacher. I believe all children can learn when placed in an environment that supports critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and personal learning styles and intelligences. I strive to bring out innovation, and confidence in my students, by providing them opportunities for their interests to drive their learning. Kids are now learning in a time and a society where technology is a tool that connects their learning to the rest of the world. We are preparing students for a society that is constantly changing and for future jobs that do not yet exist. It is my job as a teacher to establish a classroom of inquiry, empathy, and resiliency, which will foster critical thinking and problem solving.
