Perseverance, grit, and growth mindset will be the focus of my classroom for the upcoming school year. Students will be asked to set goals, means to achieve their goals, and reflect on their progress throughout the year. A variety of books, ranging from picture books to chapter books, books about men, women, and children, covering a variety of backgrounds from across the globe, are invaluable resources to my classroom. With the addition of these books, students will read about people just like them who have overcome obstacles to achieve their goals. The books will be accessible to the wide variety of learners in my inclusion classroom. With the support and generosity of donors, my kids will gain the resources needed to prove that sticking with a task; however, trying and difficult it may be is a key factor in their success.
