The whiteboards will be used daily during math workshop as the students interact with the teacher as well as with each other. The math dice will be used to explore making large numbers as well as playing math games. The fraction tiles will be used as students are introduced to fractions during unit three of the fourth grade GPSE standards. The science kits will be used in unit one (Solar System) of the science frameworks on the Georgia Performance Standards. The use of the math manipulatives will engage the students. The science kits will offer new insights into areas that students otherwise might not have the opportunity to explore.
