These fidget and wiggle items will help my students get the most out of every school day. I am so excited to be able to provide students with something that will help them learn to manage their extra energy. Chair Bands and Wobble Cushions can be provided when students need help sitting for extended period of time. I can attach fidgets to their pencils for them to use when completing assignments. I plan to have the hand fidget toys available for students to hold when they are sitting on the carpet or various places in the room when they are not in a chair. When their hands are busy using the fidget, their minds will be able to focus better. I am very passionate about teaching my students to monitor their own behavior and gain independence in the classroom throughout the year. Establishing self regulation skills in kindergarten will support their learning throughout their entire school career. Not only do these tools help the students using them, but when they cut down on disruptions, all students benefit. Less time will be spent on redirection and more time can be spent on learning.
