This year, I will get the opportunity to work in three different classrooms grades 3-5 specifically during their independent reading times. I will work with them to find perfect books that not only interest them but will be close to their level so that they can be engaged and successful. Creating these positive reading experiences will encourage them to practice at home and take academic risks during their reading instruction. The funds I am asking for will be used to purchase high-interest books for students to read during their independent reading time in class and at home. The books represent a variety of levels and interests.
