Kindergartners are naturally curious and excited about learning. They love to build, create, and explore new ideas in our classroom. Having a multitude of Gears! Gears! Gears! pieces will allow students to work together as they develop critical thinking and problem solving abilities. A light table is an exciting way for kindergartners to explore light, colors, and patterns (and x-rays of animals!). Seeing a magnified hidden world through a microscope encourages an early love of scientific investigation and discovery. With these new materials, my students will be able to explore, discover, and learn about science and engineering while using their imagination, increasing their fine motor skills, and working cooperatively. These items will make a huge difference in the exposure and enthusiasm my class has towards science and engineering.
