My special education preschool students need a sensory table. We will fill our sensory table with a variety of different materials and textures. Sensory tables help calm children, especially those with sensory processing disorders. The sensory table will be used to support what we are learning for each unit (including math and reading). Participating in sensory play provides opportunities for language and social growth through interactions with teachers and peers. It also will support fine and gross motor development. Our school budget does not provide opportunities to purchase such materials at this time. We greatly appreciate your help and consideration!
