Recently we have had a school wide implementation of the growth mindset philosophy, a term coined by Carol Dweck, to motivate learning. To foster a growth mindset in my classroom, I would like to add some growth mindset themed books to my classroom library. To introduce the books, I would like to have a book tasting event where students can sample and reflect on the books. My hope is the messages in these books will empower my students and their internal sense of self-efficacy will grow. Their school lives will be improved because they are aware of their own power!
