As educators, we know that differentiating for diverse learners' needs helps to create a more comfortable, engaging classroom environment and contributes the learning process. Educational research indicates that student-choice, movement, and collaboration create high-effect learning spaces that benefit students greatly. This classroom redesign will help create a flexible seating learning space that not only supports current educational research data, but creates a warm, comfortable, 21st-century classroom in which students can maximize their learning. I have requested stability seats for students whose learning is aided through movement, rugs and floor pillows for collaborative projects and small group discussions, bamboo lap-desks for mobile grouping for varied collaborations that require movement amongst groups, as well as many other flexible seating aids. Thank you so much for considering our classroom redesign project!
