Listening is such an important part of everyday life. Kindergarteners need a lot of practice reinforcing this skill. Having a listening center in our classroom means that my students will have multiple opportunities to reinforce and fully develop their listening skills. Listening is such an important part of reading development! Listening Centers also help with reading comprehension. Reading Comprehension is another important part of becoming a successful reader. Have a listening station would mean that my students could use their own individual listening skills and apply it to their own imagination. I feel that is such a vital part in the development of literacy.
