Our classroom is a combined, EBD/Resource/Life Skills classroom and many of my students need flexible learning spaces. The portable teaching easel will allow my students to learn anywhere in the classroom, library, hallways, and even outside! This easel will also help the paraprofessionals in our class to take on small groups of students to support those that need more individualized instruction. In addition to flexible learning environments, students need ways to independently monitor time in order to prepare for transitions throughout the day. Many of my students struggle with transitioning from room to room, and even to spaces within the classroom. Without a strong concept of time, it it tricky for some kids to know what 5 minutes means! A visual timer will be a helpful and engaging way for those students to practice staying on schedule.
