My students have been surrounded by a diverse population their entire school careers. However, many students don't always know how to interact with their special needs peers. The novel Wonder helps use realize that kindness can make all the difference and if we have the ability we should choose to be "The Kind Kid." My goal is to try to provide the best educational tools possible for every child. I feel this novel is an excellent tool into helping bridge that communication and interaction barrier within our student community. This novel also provides a connection my students can use to relate to what they are reading on a more personal level. My district has limited copies of this novel, so I would love to be able to provide my students with their own individual copies.
