My students are from a low socio economic school. They have little to no access to technology resources at home and the resources provided at school and in my classroom are limited. My students love listening to stories. Being able to pick a story and follow along as its being read is something they would look forward to. I want my students to be excited about reading. They love visiting reading websites on our classroom computers, however those often don't work. I have a set of charismatic students who are eager to learn and determine to increase their reading ability and become better readers.
