I am incorporating more engaging activities in the classroom. The students can strengthen and improve on their social and mathematical skills by playing games like Albert's Insomnia, 24 Game, Dominoes, and Math Dice. In the class, there will also be more emphasis on writing and reading about math. There will be more writing through prompts and reading books like Do the Math and A Gebra Named Al. Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding by answering quick questions with Plickers, sharing their knowledge with Sticky Posters, and showing their process through the erase markers. This year the students will have a great range of ways to interact, see, hear and learn math.
