Many students will come in the classroom thinking they are horrible at math, hate math and are scared of math. I want to help our students realize that language is not something they need to be embarrassed of. I was also a ESL student and I was always afraid of class because the teacher might ask me to explain something on the board. However, by donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement, confidence in math and also gradually build their communication skills. Maybe first couple times they might be afraid to talk, but gradually I can ask them questions like "How did you get to here?" Then the next time, I can ask a little bit harder question to challenge them! It is a challenge but with a document camera we can open up many doors to improve in so many ways!
