This project will do so much for our classroom! After we receive the Kindle Fire's I will be subscribing to Kindle Free Time Unlimited. This will allow access to over 10,000 children's books, educational apps, and videos. We will using our Kindles all day in the classroom, from Reading and Math, to Social Studies and Science. The possibilities are endless. My students will have such an expanded classroom library because of the Kindles. I also am looking forward to all of the technology heavy lessons we can do. Students can practice skills in just about any subject using the Fires. We also have some fun lessons in mind that will utilize the camera (such as photo scavenger hunts to find Geometrical Shapes). We are so excited about how much the learning will explode after we receive our Kindles! My twenty-first century learners are ready to use twenty-first century tools. I have a minor in Educational Technology and I am well trained and educated on a variety of ways to maximize the available technology in the classroom. Thank you in advance for your help!
