Musical instruments will allow students to learn what happens to materials when they vibrate. Musical instruments provide students with a hands-on experience to see vibrations in action. The new NGSS Science standards are very rigorous and require students to think deeply about scientific practices. To experience hands-on science will allow students to collaborate and participate in shared research together. This project will give them the opportunity to question, observe, and think deeply about sound and music. Students will participate and use these instruments to observe the complexities of sounds. After observing, they will then think of a way to create their own instruments.

About my class
