Flexible seating is a must for student to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. Benefits of flexible seating include using up excess energy, increased motivation and engagement, creating better blood flow to the brain and improving core strength. Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. I want to give my students a choice in how they learn if is sitting on a rug, on a wobble cushion, or on a stability ball. Some students find it difficult to sit in chairs and desks all day long. These things would give them another option to make them successful in my class.
