My students need materials such as balance beams, sensory blocks, pogo jumpers, balance rockers, and tunnel tents to use when they become overactive and can't focus. The sensory center will be perfect for my preschool students who struggle to sit still and stay focused during instruction. Students will also benefit from the wiggle chairs and cushions so that they can sit during instruction, but be able to have some movement without distracting their classmates. We hope that not only will our students have fun in the sensory center, but will learn how to self-regulate and use the materials/center on their on before becoming a distraction to their classmates.
