What makes learning more easier than on a comfortable carpet! In my class a lot of our academics take place in areas other than at our tables. I enjoy playing phonics, phonological awareness and math games as a whole group. I like the sense of community when we congregate and learn as a family. The students enjoy this tight knit time to help one another and encourage one another. Whole group seating allows students a more comfortable place to learn. A carpet would give us our spatial awareness, eliminating conflicts on where to sit. Having a carpet would provide an area too for literacy and math stations.
